Throughout 2025, LIST welcomed numerous delegations and distinguished guests who came to explore its facilities, meet its teams, and learn about its research projects. These visits provided valuable opportunities for discussion on major scientific and technological challenges, while also highlighting LIST’s expertise and its role in the innovation ecosystem in Luxembourg and beyond. Here are some of the prominent figures we had the honour of hosting.
LIST plays a key role in connecting scientific research with the needs of society. Beyond its research activities, the institute is actively engaged in outreach and dialogue with society, aiming to make science more accessible, raise public awareness of technological and environmental issues, and encourage scientific careers. Through collaborations with businesses, public institutions, schools, and the general public, LIST helps bring research closer to citizens and strengthen the societal impact of science. Here are the main outreach initiatives of the year:
At the end of the year, LIST unveiled a new version of its website, completely redesigned to better reflect its strategic positioning and highlight its research activities. Modernized in both design and functionality, the new site offers a smoother and more intuitive browsing experience, while making the institute’s missions and priorities clearer.
The main site, accessible via list.lu, presents LIST’s new vision, mission, and values. It allows visitors to explore the institute’s areas of expertise as well as its initiatives in collaboration and innovation, particularly through the new Partnership & Ventures Office. A dedicated section brings together all the information useful for those wishing to join the institute, making it easier to discover career opportunities at LIST.
Complementing this corporate site, a platform dedicated to research activities highlights LIST’s scientific teams, their researchers, their publications, and the projects they are leading. This portal aims to provide the scientific community with clear and structured access to the institute’s expertise and research results.
This redesign is based on several major changes. The content has been fully updated to align with LIST’s new strategy as defined in the 2026–2029 multi-annual plan. The content has also been tailored to different target audiences, while navigation and the user experience have been optimized.
One of the main innovations of this new digital presence is the creation of two distinct entry points, designed to meet the expectations of different audiences. The corporate website is aimed at the general public, current and potential partners, and future employees, while the scientific portal is designed to meet the specific needs of the academic and research community.
With this new digital platform, LIST strengthens its ability to share its activities, showcase its scientific talent, and develop new collaborations in Luxembourg and internationally.
